Hello Friends,
I found this today and it spoke to me:
YOU matter.
I am so glad you exist. Thank you for being.
But please don't forget that the loud guy standing over there, he matters. Maybe he'll cure cancer.
And that quiet lady in the corner, she matters too. She might be hungry or lonely or in pain, even if she doesn't look like it.
Love matters. And kindness, the verb, is the purest form of love.
And whatever you are going through, other people care. They care about you... and they want you to care about them too. Because EVERY kindness matters.
Everyone wants to know they matter. Let them know.
There are a
Your genuine smile or kind word or listening ear is one of those magical, gorgeous things... that matter.
Love,
Lola and The Kindness Project

So true Lola. Thanks for sharing the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love this post. I am reminded of George Bailey and how everyone affects each other- how everyone matters. Thanks for sharing. Best:)
ReplyDeleteYes. It can be easy to dismiss people we feel are unimportant--to our wellbeing, to our careers, to our popularity or lifestyles. But the world is a small place, with the wings of a butterfly creating ripples we cannot even imagine. The haggard looking man warming his hands on a cup of coffee in a diner may very well turn out to be the guy who could publish the book you're trying to sell, or the man who might be the father of the girl you will someday meet and want to marry...or a man on the brink of death looking for just one person to offer him a smile. Kindness isn't something that can be quantified, nor should it be rationalized as something not worth doing. It's always worth it, because like you said, everyone matters. Thanks for the reminder and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAnd you matter too. To me and to anyone who knows you and your big heart.
This is a lovely reminder how easy it is to be kind. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post, Lola. Gratitude is so important. And not having judgement about others as we can never know what is going on for them. We can never know the ripple effect of an unexpected smile or kind word at the right time for someone. We ALL matter.
ReplyDeleteAppreciation for all people, places and things is so important! So great to find your blog! I'm writing 365 Inspirations on mine this year!
